Claim Against Alienation

The memory disconnection between nature and humans was accompanying us since the Agricola revolution when humans were no longer slaves to natural conditions to survive. Since then, humans have been overwhelmed by progress and becoming a liability to the concept itself.

This Sculpture is part of a series of works addressing the concept of symbiosis between humans and nature. Using my own strength to carve this found oak wood, the marks of the chisel convey- emotion, tiredness, excitement and confusion.

The sculpture gives more of myself, of the individual, as there is more to the individual than being considered a liability to society. There is more to be said about traditional ways of work. There is more to be given to the sculpture.
